Envirocare Green Awards since 2018 is conferred to those who strive to protect our environment by adopting or innovating measures, which help create a sustainable environment for us, as well as our future generations. Envirocare Green Awards - is the brainchild of Dr Nilesh Amritkar - Managing Director, Envirocare Labs who envisioned that an innovative, yet inclusive approach was needed to refocus on sustainability and environment. “Individuals, and professionals, should be driven towards, delivering Personal Social Responsibility | PSR, while organizations should aim for a Green Balance Sheet, a true sign of sustainability where a balance within People, Planet and Profits coexist “has been his mantra to attain true sustainability.

Encourage | Empower | Enlighten have been the cornerstones of the Envirocare Green Awards where the focus has been, to encourage professionals & organizations to think ‘green ‘while contributing toward a nation which is not only progressive but responsible towards our Mother Earth. EGA is a non-commercial activity of self-motivated like-minded people dedicated to making a positive difference towards Sustainable Care.
“Only One Earth” was the slogan for the 1972 Stockholm Conference; 50 years on, this truth still holds - this planet is our only home. With nature in emergency mode, the #OnlyOneEarth campaign for World Environment Day 2022, wants you to celebrate the planet through collective environmental action. #ONLYONEEARTH advocates for transformative environmental change on a global scale. The campaign shines a spotlight on climate action, nature action and pollution action while encouraging everyone, everywhere to live sustainably. While our individual consumption choices do make a difference, it is collective action that will create the transformative environmental change we need, so we can advance to a more sustainable and just, Earth, where everyone can flourish.
Envirocare Green Awards has entered the 5th year, amidst gaining international recognition as a respectable and responsible award. With an overwhelming response of 46 unique applications from 7 countries including India, USA, Oman, Qatar, Zimbabwe, Nigeria and Tanzania EGA continues to inspire individuals and organizations to ‘think green'.
EGA applications are scrutinized through a 3 - level screening process that's designed meticulously where the preliminary screening is done through EGA Secretariat. Scrutinized applications move to the Jury Members where significance pertaining to People | Planet | Profit is weighted, in the next round, shortlisted applicants get an opportunity to showcase their work to the esteemed Jury, Patrons, Advisory Panel along with the Support Partners where evaluation happens on the overall attributes.
Organisers, Advisors, Patrons and Jury Members EGA 2021. Envirocare Green Awards has an esteemed evaluation panel of 11 Jury Members | 11 Patron Members | 8 Advisory Board Members from 6 countries including India, Qatar, Germany, Netherlands, Canada, Nigeria. Accomplished members with the likes of Dr Manoj Chaturvedi, Dr. Avin Ramaiya, Mr. Nilesh Lele, Dr Roshni Udyayvar, Mr. Awinash Dulip, Dr Shubhakanta Mohapatra, Mr. Benedict Odjobo, Dr Chun Mei Chang, Mr. Imran Ustad, Dr Sarit Kumar, Ms. Karin Heinze played a pivotal role in evaluating the 46 applicants. While the distinguished members complimented the participants, they did mention that the quality of the initiatives made the evaluation interesting yet tough.
27 shortlisted applicants from India, Qatar, USA and Zimbabwe who got an opportunity to present at the 9th of July event, where jury members, patrons, advisors and partners evaluated them on the attributes of creativity and innovation, impact and sustainability & scalability of their initiatives, including presentation skills and time management.
EGA Secretariat welcomed all the dignitaries and stakeholders amidst happy faces, true inclusiveness could be seen with most of the 46 EGA 2022 applicants joining in to witness the event. The next 3 hours breezed past with enriching sessions followed by meaningful Q & A where the impact of technology, the feasibility of the projects, and support from stakeholders were discussed and deliberated.
Mr Awinash Dulip, Environment Consultant India Africa Business Forum, Jury Member referred that the efforts taken by each applicant were worth recognition and thanked Envirocare Green Awards team for providing a platform to showcase the sustainability initiatives to the international audience. Mr Benedict Odjobo Chief Technologist NABDA, Nigeria jury member said that the great work done by all would serve as a motivation to the larger audience.
The overall event was very engaging, where the applicants appreciated the opportunity provided to not only present but also gain insights and inputs from the panellists.
Mr Deshpande, CEO of Envirocare Labs thanked the EGA Founder Chairman Dr Nilesh Amritkar (picture) for conceptualizing the EGA event and expressed gratitude and pride for the incredible opportunity of being the “Knowledge Partner” for this coveted event, the thought of which resonates with the philosophy of Envirocare Labs. He conveyed best regards and wishes to all the applicants, Jury's, Patrons, advisors, and partners for their wholehearted support in making EGA 2022 a successful enterprise.
Mr Rahul Deshpande, shared the journey of Envirocare Labs towards #sustainablecare for over 4 decades, highlighting how the 17 SDGs have been a way of life at Envirocare Labs. It was inspiring to know that Envirocare Labs is the 1st Platinum-rated Indian Green Building (IGBC) within the Testing, Inspection and Certification sector focusing on energy management, waste minimization, and water conservation while ensuring employee wellbeing as well as future readiness. A Snapshot of the last decade, where CSR initiatives over INR 10 Mio, directed towards Zero Hunger, Quality Education and Providing Safe Drinking Water & Sanitation along with nation-building activities under the PM Care Fund, was touched upon.
The Final Round of Evaluation on 9th July ended on a high with good wishes to all the applicants and appreciation for their initiative. Keynote Sessions and EGA Awards event to be held on 16th July 2022 (hybrid mode) has already 250+ registrations globally.
